A separate simulation laboratory has been setup that houses about 30 computers installed with software necessary for problem solving and analyzing like MATLAB and MULTISIM. Our effort is to further improve Power System Simulation Lab by adding more software like NEPLAN, ETAP, PSIM, PSPICE etc. Efforts are also made to develop Switch Gear and Protection lab shortly.

We help nurture innovation and encourages entrepreneurial talents among students, and faculty alike at RVSCET. Our innovation centre helps the students of EEE to apply the knowledge gained here during the course of their bachelor degree for innovative and sustainable idea/ product development. Seminars are organised on a quarterly basis to keep students and faculty apprised of the recent technological advancements thereby guiding them in their journey of research and innovation. We also help students and staff members to convert innovative ideas into technology demonstrations. Our department organises yearly workshop cum contest, TECHKARMA, to display the projects developed by students of final semesters. We plan to include students from 3rd year too in our next TECHKARMA workshop in order to inculcate the sense of innovation and development from the very beginning of their UG degree

Student Research Work AT RVSCET teachers have been using projects as a means of teaching technical skills, tool usage, and problem solving. The project method also provides an excellent means for increasing student learning. The project method is a teacher-facilitated collaborative approach in which students acquire and apply knowledge and skills to define and solve realistic problems using a process of extended inquiry. Projects are student-centred, following standards, parameters, and milestones clearly identified by the instructor. Students have control over the planning, refining, presenting, and reflecting of the project. Through projects, students are engaged in innovation and creativity.
